Himalayan Pink Salt, or Sendha Namak, has a subtle and sweet flavour. It is hand-mined from the towering Himalayan mountains. This unique salt is incredibly pure and dates back 250 million years.
The salt crystals are a soft pink colour and look like tiny jewels, similar to rose quartz. Unlike Fleur de Sel and Sel Gris that can be broken when pinched, Himalayan Pink Salt is incredibly hard. These crystals should, therefore, be used in a salt grinder. Himalayan Pink Salt is a wonderful alternative to table salt to season any dish. It works perfectly with ceviche, white fish and even chocolate!
